The first battle[]

"Spartans, lay down your weapons!" |

This Persian general led the first battle against the Spartans. When the Persians lined up in war formation, the general came from the crowd, screaming at the Spartans to lay down their weapons. That was the last word of him as he was impaled with a flying spear embedded deep into his breastbone, killing him and he fell out of his saddle, dead.
